  1. Welcome to QUACK Sound Effects Studio
  2. The Help file contains a step by step guide to using QUACK
  3. Use the View|Components menu to bring up the components floating toolbar
  4. There are plenty of example patch maps in the Examples folder
  5. You can connect with the mouse - click and drag from one component to another
  6. Double click a component to edit it
  7. Save time by using Sound|Set Sound File to select a default WAV file
  8. Edit the Output component to set the WAV file type and sample rate
  9. Right click on a component to bring up its menu
  10. Use Constant component Tweak windows to speed up parameter changing
  11. Use Tools|Properties to add your favourite sound apps to the tools menu
  12. Don't forget to register the shareware version within 30 days
